Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst III

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to analyze, verify, and validate artifacts and deliverables, procedures, and processes; regularly provide risk assessment and other feedback to management to mitigate risks, identify and address gaps, and recommend improvements, ensuring a consistent optimal level of quality for all deliverables. The position will verify the quality of the source code via inspection, manual testing, automated testing, using tools, creating test files, creating test cases, and inspecting test results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in formal reviews of business requirements and application design.
  • Ensures proper test coverage exists based on requirements and design specifications.
  • Writes and produces accurate software problem reports.
  • Defines and implements quality process improvements focused on defect prevention.
  • Ensures test environment reflects business requirements for test execution. 
  • Executes manual or automated test scripts for most complex projects.
  • Identifies and manages critical path of testing.
  • Ensures execution of project regression testing tasks.
  • Analyzes and reports overall test status and results.
  • Defines and coordinates production verification and validation.
  • Performs risk analysis at the project management level.
  • Assists in developing departmental technical policies and procedures.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Creates test plans, data, procedures, and manual and/or automated scripts.
  • Recommends strategies and methods to improve test plans and processes.
  • Creates systems and business-relevant test cases.
  • Assists in the development of in-house test tools.
  • Coordinates test schedules, work, and resource plans; manages progress of all test activities against plan.
  • Defines regression tests for future projects.
  • May be responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members.
  • May provide guidance and training to enable other team members to meet/exceed expectations.
  • May have input into hiring decisions.
  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and may make project assignments.
  • Maintains status of project and monitors activities of team members.
  • Initiates discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Works across teams to achieve group goals.
  • Participates in user/external group discussions.
  • Maintains user/external group relationships.
  • Participates in staff meetings, conference calls, and other meetings, as needed.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of health benefit plans, encompassing both employer-sponsored and voluntary plans, as well as insurance products such as Disability and Life, COBRA, and the Affordable Care Act.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for presenting complex information concisely and clearly.
  • Exemplary organizational and problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and adeptness in managing multiple client accounts concurrently.
  • Thrives under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Selerix (a plus), CRM systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
